Why We Started
The Problem We Saw
NDIS registration was never designed to be easy to read. The Practice Standards are written for regulators and auditors, not for someone trying to start a support business. The guidance tells you what you must demonstrate, and almost nothing about how to demonstrate it.
So a gap opened up, and it filled with the wrong kind of help. Providers were sold generic document packs with their logo on the cover — priced like consulting and delivered like stationery. Plenty of them failed their audit anyway, and by then the consultant had moved on.
The people losing out were not bad operators. They were carpenters, nurses, support workers and therapists who were good at the actual job and had simply never been asked to write a risk framework or map an incident procedure against a standard.
We thought that was a solvable problem. Write documents that describe how a business genuinely runs. Explain the process in language an operator can act on. Tell people plainly when they do not need to register. And stay reachable long after the invoice is paid — because registration lasts three years, and the rules move inside that.
That is what EnableUs was built to do, and it is still the whole idea.

The Commission has said the same thing. Documents that do not describe your actual business do not survive an audit, and they should not.
Plain Language Is Not Dumbing Down
Compliance is complicated. Explaining it badly is a choice. If you cannot understand your own documents, you cannot defend them.
Say No When the Answer Is No
Not every provider needs to register. We would rather lose the sale than take money from someone who did not need to spend it.
Approval Is the Start, Not the End
Your obligations run for three years and the rules move inside that. A consultant who disappears at approval was never really helping.
