Worker screening: Service NSW
In NSW the check is called the NDIS Worker Check. Workers apply online through a MyServiceNSW account, then visit a Service NSW Centre within 28 days to verify their identity.

Registering in Dubbo: Questions
Is NDIS registration in Dubbo different from anywhere else?
No. The NDIS Commission registers providers under one national set of rules, and it has done so in New South Wales since 1 July 2018. You apply online through the Commission’s portal, and your audit is done by an NDIS-approved quality auditor. What is handled in New South Wales is worker screening.
Where do workers in Dubbo get an NDIS worker screening check?
In NSW the check is called the NDIS Worker Check. Workers apply online through a MyServiceNSW account, then visit a Service NSW Centre within 28 days to verify their identity. The check is recognised nationally, so a worker who already holds one from another state or territory does not need a new one.
Can I meet you in person?
Yes. Our Sydney office is at 274 Victoria Street, Darlinghurst NSW 2010. Most of the work happens online, so you do not need to visit, but you are welcome to.
How long does registration take from Dubbo?
Your documents arrive within 24 hours of starting. After that the timeline depends on how quickly your evidence comes together, your auditor’s availability and the Commission’s processing times. Where you are does not change any of those.
Which registration do I need?
It is decided by the supports you deliver: verification for lower-risk supports, certification (Core, plus Specialist modules where they apply) for higher-risk ones, and SDA for specialist disability accommodation. The pathway finder works it out in about ten seconds.
