NDIS Registration Renewal
Renewing Your NDIS Registration Without the Last-Minute Rush
Registration is granted for a set term. Renewing it means a new application and a new audit, against standards that have moved since you last registered.
The Short Answer
How do I renew my NDIS registration?
Apply for renewal through the NDIS Commission’s portal before your registration expires, update your self-assessment, and engage an approved quality auditor for a new audit against the current standards. The expiry date is on your certificate of registration. Starting months early leaves time to fix what the audit finds.
01The Renewal
Four Steps, Started Early
- Check your expiry dateIt is on your certificate of registration and in the Commission’s portal. Work back from it.
- Review against the current standardsStandards and guidance change during a registration term. Documents that passed last time may not pass now.
- Apply for renewalIn the Commission’s portal, with an updated self-assessment and any changes to your groups.
- The renewal auditEngage an approved auditor. Certification providers have a recertification audit; verification providers a new verification audit.
Leave enough time for the audit and any corrective actions. The Commission’s guidance explains what happens while a renewal is being assessed: read it well before your expiry date.
